Biography
My laboratory focuses on management, physiology and ecology of weedy and invasive plants in New Mexico. Our over goal is to make weed management systems more reliant on manipulating interactions between weeds and their environment. Currently, we are: 1) studying physiological and ecological factors affecting persistence and mortality of weed seeds in agroecosystems, 2) conducting bioeconomic analyses for integrated weed management tactics in agricultural production systems, and 3) clarifying weedy and invasive plant responses to soil salinity, which is an environmental factor increasingly considered important in weed community assembly.
