Biography

Dr. Aiken is a behavioral scientist that specializes in practice manipulations that facilitate the learning or re-learning of a motor skill. His primary research interest is in the manipulation of practice to facilitate learning and enhance performance. This work includes altering the amount and type of feedback, altering attentional focus, and increasing physical or cognitive stress/effort. In addition Dr. Aiken's work has explored the effects of motor skill transfer within and between effectors, as well as to different contexts or environments.
